 Nellai or Tirunelveli whenever I hear this name I will get smile over my face that much love I have love towards my hometown. I am today far away from my hometown but I feel connected to my hometown Nellai.It is a place which taught me what is life so wherever I go in future I don't know but no place can replace Nellai which is close connection to my heart.Now little bit I will tell about home town.

Tirunelveli, affectionately called "Nellai" by locals, is a place full of charm and rich heritage in Tamil Nadu. It's a town where history, culture, and natural beauty come together to create a unique and welcoming atmosphere.

Historic Place

Tirunelveli is steeped into history with landmarks that reflect its ancient roots. The Nellaiappar Temple, a stunning example of architecture, stands as a symbol of our tirunelveli town's deep religious and cultural traditions. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is a place of worship and a beautiful piece of history.Whenever I am visting tirunelveli in summer hoildays I will visit Nellaiappar temple once .

Love of people

The love of the people in Tirunelveli is what truly makes the town special. The bond  with everyone looking out for one another. Festivals like the Chithirai Festival bring everyone together to celebrate with vibrant traditions , showcasing the true culture of Tirunelveli. I love this people because they will give you unconditional love if you show towards them .

My Favourite Place

Another place I love in Tirunelveli is Courtallam Falls, often called the 'Spa of South India'. The waterfalls offer a refreshing retreat and are surrounded by lush greenery. It's a perfect spot for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Food in Tirunelveli is something which will be awesome. The town is renowned for its Tirunelveli Halwa, a sweet made with wheat, ghee, and sugar. This Sweet is a loved one among local People and other district people . Everytime time I visit my hometown in my childhood I still remember my father will buy halwa in one full bag which have 15 plus half kg packets.I will ask my father why you are buying so much? My father replied after leave when I am going to office none of my friends will expect me all will expect this halwa only.

Why I Love Nellai (Tirunelveli)

For me, Tirunelveli is more than just a place; it's home. It's where I go in every summer hoildays, formed lasting friendships, and attached with people. Whether it's the historical sites, the natural beauty, or the delicious food, Tirunelveli holds a special place in my heart.

On a whole Tirunelveli or Nellai, is big in size like that it also is rich in history and has many emotionally connected people in my life , and natural beauty make it a remarkable place to call home.

Finally I will say one thing I miss you Nellai. I am expecting to go soon to tirunelveli and enjoy.

There was something magical about those 45 days of summer holidays. My sister and I would eagerly count down the days, waiting to board the train with our grandparents to visit my aunt’s house in Kallidaikuruchi a village near Tirunelveli . My aunt, my father's sister, was always waiting for us, and the house would soon be filled with laughter, noise, and endless fun. We were a group of six cousins, all coming from different places, and those summer holidays were the highlight of our year. Two of our cousins children of my aunt will be not there most of the times but they will join us in weekend because they are working ,others were still in school, full of energy and excitement.
